Join Me Tonight for my Florals in Bloom Card Class @ HomeWatch me tonight for my Weekly Tuesday Live to learn how to make my three Florals in Bloom...
My second daughter's 21st birthday was this past Sunday, and this is the card I made her. She's always liked these type of floral stamps, so I just had to use it for her card. I really love this Corner Garden stamp! The flowers are gorgeous, and they're all on one stamp!
Of course, I just had to use my Blendabilities to color it in. I used the six color packs that became available first, plus the Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate packs. I really like how these colors look together. I also used the Color Lifter to make sections of the flowers and the butterfly lighter. By the way, the butterfly comes from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set. I think the butterfly really adds a lot to this card. I only put adhesive onto the center, back of the butterfly, and then attached it to the card. Once attached, I bent the wings up to make the butterfly look like it's flying.
I used the Smoky Slate Blendabilities pack to outline the flowers & leaves. After I drew lightly around the images with the fine tip of the lightest Smoky Slate marker, I softened the lines up by coloring over them with the Color Lifter. Doing this really makes the images look three dimensional.
I've listed all of the supplies I used to make this card, along with links to all of the products, below.
