Occasions Mini Set - Oval All

Today's featured set is Oval All (#113790). This set works perfectly with our Large Oval punch (p. 184 in big catty), and our new Scallop Oval Punch (p. 8 in the Occasion mini). I have this set and love it! I've posted a card using this set before, and now I'm posting two cards made by others. Both cards were made by Jane Hignite. Occasions Mini Set - Soft Summer

Today's featured Occasions mini set is Soft Summer (#113802). These are two cards that I've made with this set, and I've posted them before. I used 2 different designer series papers (DSP) making these two cards, too. I used Tangerine Tango Patterns DSP on the card on the left, and Bella Rose DSP on the card on the right.

Don't forget that you can buy 3 packs of designer series paper (pp. 158-161 in the big catty and p. 9 in the mini) and get one pack free. You can also do the same with the 12" x 12" textured card stock packs in the big catty (pp. 153-155). You can order 4 packs of DSP, 4 packs of textured card stock, or a combination of the two. Occasions Mini Set - Wagon Full of Fun

Here are some very cute cards made with Wagon Full of Fun set (#113262). This set makes great Spring & Easter projects. There are so many things you can put in the wagon, too! The card on the left was made by my friend & fellow demo, Shirley Brown, and the one on the right was made by Jen R.


These cards aren't your average cards. Shirley's (on the left) is a hinged card, and Jen's is a pocket card. When you open the top of Shirley's card, you find a duck hiding inside the wagon. You also find a duck in the pocket card, too. You can see this in the picture below.

Another day, another Occasions Mini set...make that two! I only have one sample for each of these cards, so I thought I'd feature two today. The card on the left was made by Robyn Hyer with the Choo Choo set (#113982), and the card on the right was made by Kay Fulton with the Golden Oldies set (#113712).

Occasions Mini - Walk in the Park DSP

Today, instead of featuring a stamp set from the mini, I'm featuring the designer paper in it, Walk in the Park (#115123). I made this scrapbook page for a workshop I'm doing today. I used my Circle Scissors Plus (p. 188, #112530) to cut out the circle from the DSP. I also got to use my newest Big Shot Dies, Flower, Daisies #2 Bigz die (p. 196, #114520) It's a little hard to tell in the picture, but the big yellow daisy's center is a Baja Breeze Corduroy Button (p. 6, #114345) from the mini.

This designer paper is on p. 9 in the Occasions mini. There are 6 different double-sided papers, 2 of each one. So, you get twelve, 12" x 12" double-sided designer paper for only $9.95. This paper is great for cards as well.

Occasions Mini Set - Scene in a Garden

Today's featured set is Scene in a Garden (#113246). I don't know about you, but this Occasions mini has so many wonderful stamp sets. I really had a hard time not buying them all! This set is really cute. I love how you can put different things on the bench that comes with this set. The cards below show using two of the images without the bench. Both cards were made by Cheryl Liston. It's hard to tell, but the boots on the right card have Crystal Effects used on them. It really makes them look like shiny rubber boots! Great job, Cheryl!

I love the Great Friend (#113792) set from the Occasions mini. I have seen so many beautiful projects made using this set. Below, you'll see some wonderful cards made using this set. The card on the left was made by Theresa Hill, and the one of the right by KayLynn Thygerson. I just love the butterfly in this set. The sayings are great, too.

Occasions Mini Set - Sense of Time

Aren't these cards gorgeous? Both of these cards were made by Peggy Lucas using the Sense of Time (#113804) set. If you ever go to Splitcoaststampers, her SCS name is PeggyL. It's hard to tell in the picture, but the clock on the card on the right is heat embossed with Night of Navy Craft ink and Clear emboss powder.

As you can see, this set makes great cards, but it makes great scrapbook pages, too. It's great for any kind of projects you want to make, but really great for masculine & vintage-type projects.

Here are pages 6 & 7 of my 8-1/2" x 8-1/2" scrapbook album for my May 30th class. This whole album has pictures of our vacation to Pigeon Forge last summer. I love having the best pictures we took on vacation all together in this album. We'll be looking at this album for many years to come.

Digital Swap

I'm sorry that I didn't post yesterday. I had planned on putting more scrapbook pages up yesterday, but my son came home with a ton of math homework that he needed help with. I had to give myself a refresher course on probabilities and other 7th grade Algebra stuff. I think he got to where he understood it. I'm just hoping he still remembers how to do it for the test.

I don't have a picture taken of the scrapbook pages yet, but will this afternoon. While you're waiting, I'm posting a card that I received in the last digital swap I was in. This beautiful card was made by Theresa Hill. She used the Great Friend set (p. 6) from the Occasions Mini. I love this set, and have been trying not to buy it, but I keep seeing such beautiful cards made with this set. I may cave yet! I also loved how she used the SU! Backgrounds Texturz plate on the Basic Gray card stock. Beautiful!

Mother's Day Card

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday! I meant to post this on Mother's Day, but the weekend was soooo busy! I really could have used one more day this weekend!

The card below is the card I made my mom for Mother's Day. As you can see, I'm loving my new Friends 24-7 stamp set (p. 81). Thankfully, my mom really liked it. I found out about a great blog a few weeks ago that posts a new card sketch (layout) every Monday. It's called Mojo Monday. I haven't had time to use one of the sketches until now. I used the sketch that came out two weeks ago for this card. I'm hoping to make one using the new sketch that came out today, too.
